This document applies to all users of the LumiOre AI Learning Platform. By using the Platform, the Parent/Guardian agrees to be bound by these terms on behalf of the Student.

1. Purpose

LumiOre LLP ("LumiOre") has published this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") to ensure that the LumiOre AI Learning Platform is used safely, responsibly, and in a manner consistent with its educational purpose. This AUP applies to all users of the Platform, including Parent/Guardians and Students aged 6 to 16.

This AUP forms part of LumiOre's Terms of Service and should be read alongside the Privacy Policy, Child Safety Policy, and Cookie Policy. Capitalised terms used in this AUP have the same meaning as in the Terms of Service.

2. Permitted Uses

The Platform may be used for the following purposes only:

  • Uploading the Student's own test papers, worksheets, and past papers for AI-powered analysis and feedback.
  • Accessing the Student's personalised Learning Profile and AI-generated analysis of their performance.
  • Engaging with AI-generated tutorials, explanations, flashcards, and practice questions for personal study in accordance with the MOE curriculum.
  • Using the AI learning chat to ask curriculum-related questions and receive guided support.
  • Accessing the Parent Dashboard to monitor the Student's progress and review session summaries and chat logs.
  • Contacting LumiOre's support team through the Platform's designated channels for account and service-related assistance.

All use of the Platform must be for personal, non-commercial, educational purposes only, and must comply with Singapore law and MOE guidelines.

3. Prohibited Uses

3.1 General Prohibitions

The following uses of the Platform are strictly prohibited:

  • Using the Platform for any purpose other than personal, non-commercial education.
  • Reproducing, distributing, selling, or reselling any AI-Generated Content or Platform materials.
  • Sharing account login credentials with any person outside the registered family unit.
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or free trial restrictions.
  • Accessing another user's account, data, or Learning Profile without authorisation.
  • Using automated tools, bots, scripts, or web crawlers to access, scrape, or interact with the Platform.
  • Interfering with or attempting to disrupt the Platform's servers, infrastructure, or security systems.
  • Using the Platform in any manner that violates Singapore law, the Education Act, the Computer Misuse Act (Cap. 50A), the PDPA, or any other applicable regulation.

3.2 AI-Specific Prohibitions

The following conduct in relation to the Platform's AI features is strictly prohibited:

  • Submitting inputs designed to manipulate, deceive, or bypass the AI system's educational guardrails ("jailbreaking" or "prompt injection").
  • Attempting to elicit from the AI any content that is harmful, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for children.
  • Using the AI learning chat for any purpose other than curriculum-aligned educational support.
  • Attempting to extract, reproduce, or reverse-engineer the AI Model's underlying structure, training data, or system prompts.
  • Submitting fabricated or misleading inputs designed to corrupt the Student's Learning Profile.
  • Using the Platform's AI features to generate content intended for academic fraud, plagiarism, or submission as the Student's own original work.

3.3 Upload Prohibitions

The following content must not be uploaded to the Platform:

  • Content that does not belong to the registered Student — including another student's exam paper or worksheet uploaded for the registered Student's practice use — where that student's Parent/Guardian has not consented to the upload.
  • Content containing the Personal Data of third parties who have not consented to its submission.
  • Obscene, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or unlawful material of any kind.
  • Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights beyond what is permitted for private study under Singapore's Copyright Act 2021.
  • Files containing malware, viruses, or any form of malicious code.
  • Official MOE examination papers that are designated as confidential or restricted.

3.4 Child Safety Prohibitions

The following conduct is strictly prohibited in relation to the safety of children on the Platform:

  • Using the Platform to contact, identify, or communicate with any child other than the registered Student.
  • Encouraging, facilitating, or engaging in any form of grooming, harassment, exploitation, or abuse of a child through the Platform.
  • Sharing or attempting to share a Student's Personal Data or Learning Profile with unauthorised third parties.
  • Misrepresenting the identity, age, or relationship of any person when registering or using an account.

3.5 System Abuse Prohibitions

For the purposes of this section, "System Abuse" means any act or pattern of conduct by a User that circumvents, exploits, or unduly strains the Platform's technical controls, usage limits, account structure, or AI features in a manner inconsistent with the Platform's intended purpose of supporting the educational development of a single registered Student under a single active Subscription. The following forms of System Abuse are strictly prohibited:

  • (a) Excessive Content Generation: A User shall not download, generate, or otherwise procure more than five (5) AI-generated test papers or practice assessments per registered Student account within any rolling thirty (30)-day period. Circumventing this limit by any means — including but not limited to creating multiple accounts, initiating parallel sessions, or using automated tools — is prohibited.
  • (b) Unauthorised Upload of Third-Party Academic Materials: A User shall not upload examination papers, worksheets, assessments, or academic materials that were completed by, or are attributable to, any person other than the single registered Student associated with the relevant account. The bulk uploading of materials belonging to or completed by multiple students — whether or not those students hold separate registrations on the Platform — is expressly prohibited.
  • (c) Multi-Student Use Under a Single Account: Each account is licensed solely for the personal educational use of one (1) registered Student. A User shall not permit, facilitate, or arrange for two (2) or more students to conduct practice sessions, receive AI-generated feedback, or access any feature of the Platform under a single account. Sharing account credentials for the purpose of circumventing the per-Student subscription model constitutes System Abuse.
  • (d) General Catch-All: Without limiting the foregoing, any conduct that LumiOre reasonably determines to constitute System Abuse — including conduct of a nature analogous to that described in §3.5(a)–(c) above, or any other use of the Platform that is harmful, deceptive, or inconsistent with the Platform's intended educational purpose — is strictly prohibited. LumiOre reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to suspend or terminate access to any account found to be engaging in System Abuse, without prior notice and without liability to the account holder.

4. Academic Integrity

LumiOre's Platform is designed to support learning, not to replace original effort. The following standards of academic integrity must be observed:

AI-Generated Content — including practice questions, worked examples, explanations, and feedback — is provided to assist the Student's understanding and must not be submitted as the Student's own original work to any school, tutor, or educational institution.

Parent/Guardians are responsible for ensuring that the Student uses AI-generated materials in a manner consistent with their school's academic integrity policy. LumiOre takes no responsibility for any academic integrity violation arising from the misuse of AI-Generated Content.

For avoidance of doubt, using the Platform to practise, learn, and improve is entirely appropriate. Submitting AI-generated answers as the Student's own original examination or assignment work is not.

5. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

Parent/Guardians are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the Student uses the Platform only in accordance with this AUP.
  • Supervising the Student's use of the Platform, particularly the AI learning chat feature, and especially for children under 13.
  • Reviewing the Parent Dashboard regularly to monitor the Student's sessions, chat logs, and progress.
  • Discussing this AUP with the Student in age-appropriate terms before they begin using the Platform.
  • Promptly reporting any violation of this AUP or any safety concern to support@lumiore.ai.

6. Consequences of Violation

LumiOre reserves the right to take the following actions in response to a violation of this AUP:

  • Issue a formal warning to the Parent/Guardian.
  • Temporarily suspend access to specific Platform features.
  • Immediately suspend or permanently terminate the Subscription without refund.
  • Where required by law, report the conduct to relevant Singapore authorities, including the Singapore Police Force or the Personal Data Protection Commission.

The severity of the response will be proportionate to the nature and seriousness of the violation. LumiOre reserves the right to determine the appropriate response in its sole discretion.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any use of the Platform that violates this AUP — including misuse of the AI chat, inappropriate uploads, or suspected safety concerns — please report it immediately to support@lumiore.ai. LumiOre takes all reports seriously and will investigate and respond within 2 business days.

8. Amendments

LumiOre reserves the right to update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated to Parent/Guardians via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
