2. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms apply to all access and use of the Platform. You may accept these Terms by clicking "I Agree" or "Accept" where made available in the Platform's user interface; or by accessing or using the Platform, in which case LumiOre will treat your use as acceptance of these Terms from that point onwards.
You may not use the Platform if: (a) the Parent/Guardian is not of legal age to form a binding contract under Singapore law; or (b) you are barred from receiving the Services under Singapore law or the laws of any applicable jurisdiction. These Terms must be accepted by the Parent/Guardian on behalf of the Student. A Student may not independently accept these Terms. LumiOre will not treat a minor's acceptance as valid acceptance of these Terms.
3. Parental Consent and Guardian Responsibilities
3.1 Requirement for Parental Consent
The Platform is designed for students aged 6 to 16. As required by the PDPA and applicable laws governing minors, the Parent/Guardian must: provide verifiable consent before the Student accesses the Platform; ensure all registration information submitted is accurate, current, and up-to-date; actively supervise the Student's use of the Platform, particularly for children under 13; and notify LumiOre immediately if the Student's information changes or if the Student is no longer within the eligible age range.
3.2 Guardian Responsibilities
By accepting these Terms, the Parent/Guardian takes full responsibility for: monitoring the Student's interactions with the Platform, including the AI learning chat feature; ensuring the Student uses the Platform in accordance with these Terms and LumiOre's Acceptable Use Policy; ensuring that Uploaded Content does not contain any information or materials that the Parent/Guardian does not have the right to submit; and promptly reporting to LumiOre any AI-generated content or Platform behaviour that appears inappropriate, harmful, or factually incorrect.
3.3 Age Verification
LumiOre reserves the right to request documentation confirming the Student's age and school enrolment. Accounts registered with false or inaccurate information may be suspended or terminated without refund.
4. Description of Services
4.1 Core Platform Features
Subject to an active Subscription, the Platform provides:
- Paper Upload and AI Analysis — Parents/Guardians may upload test papers, worksheets, or past papers. The AI analyses every answer, working step, method, and logic to identify the specific reasons behind each lost mark.
- Knowledge Profiling — The AI builds and continuously updates a unique Learning Profile for each Student, mapping knowledge gaps and habitual error patterns across uploaded papers and completed sessions.
- Persona-Adaptive Teaching — The Platform delivers AI-generated explanations, tutorials, and flashcards tailored to the Student's identified learning style and persona.
- Targeted Practice Questions — Practice questions across difficulty levels (warm-up, practice, mock, and exam-grade), focused on the Student's identified weaknesses, MOE curriculum-aligned for Primary and Secondary levels.
- AI Learning Chat — A guarded, topic-restricted chat feature limited to educational content relevant to the MOE syllabus. Guardrails restrict non-educational conversations and prevent the sharing of personal information. Chat logs are accessible to the Parent/Guardian via the Parent Dashboard.
- Parent Dashboard — Real-time access to progress, session summaries, topic-level reports, and habit pattern trends.
4.2 MOE Curriculum Alignment
The Platform is aligned to Singapore's Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum for Primary and Secondary levels, covering Mathematics and Science. LumiOre is an independent private service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated in partnership with the MOE.
4.3 School Partnerships
LumiOre offers institutional arrangements for schools. School partnership accounts are subject to separate agreements between LumiOre and the relevant educational institution. Individual students accessing the Platform through a school partnership account remain subject to these Terms, except where expressly superseded by the institutional agreement.
4.4 Service Changes
LumiOre reserves the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or component of the Services at any time, with or without notice, at its sole discretion. LumiOre will endeavour to notify Parent/Guardians of material changes via email.
5. Subscription, Payment, and Billing
5.1 Subscription Plans
The Platform is available under the following Subscription plans, as published on LumiOre's website and subject to change with 30 days' written notice:
- 1 Child — S$38 per child
- Family Pack (3 or more children, schools, tuition centres, or custom arrangements): pricing on application
All fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) where required by law.
5.2 Free Trial
LumiOre offers a 7-day free trial for new users. No credit card or payment information is required during the trial period. Upon expiry of the free trial, continued access to the Platform requires activation of a paid Subscription. Trial accounts not converted to a paid Subscription will be automatically suspended at the end of the trial period.
5.3 Billing and Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By providing payment details and activating a paid Subscription, the Parent/Guardian authorises LumiOre to charge the applicable Subscription fee on a recurring monthly basis until the Subscription is cancelled. LumiOre will provide at least 7 days' advance notice before any auto-renewal billing.
5.4 Payment Processing
Payment is processed through LumiOre's third-party payment gateway. LumiOre does not store full credit or debit card details on its systems. By providing payment information, the Parent/Guardian represents that they are authorised to use the payment method provided.
5.5 Cancellation
Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time via the account settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The Parent/Guardian will retain access to the Platform until the end of the paid period. LumiOre does not provide pro-rated refunds for unused days within a billing cycle.
6. Refund Policy
All Subscription fees are non-refundable except in the following circumstances: technical failure caused by LumiOre preventing access for more than 72 continuous hours; duplicate billing error; or early cancellation request submitted within 7 days of the initial paid Subscription activation where the Platform has not been substantially used.
Refund requests must be submitted to support@lumiore.ai with supporting details. LumiOre will process eligible refund requests within 14 business days. Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method. LumiOre is not responsible for additional bank charges that may apply. For full details, please refer to LumiOre's Refund Policy.
7. Uploaded Content
7.1 Licence to Process
By uploading any content to the Platform, the Parent/Guardian grants LumiOre a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to access, process, transmit, and analyse the Uploaded Content solely for the purpose of delivering the Services to the Authorised User. This licence does not permit LumiOre to use Uploaded Content for any purpose beyond operating the Platform for that Student's account.
7.2 Retention of Uploaded Content
Uploaded Content (including paper images and PDFs) is stored securely in LumiOre's cloud storage and processed by the AI Model to generate the Learning Profile and analysis results. Uploaded Content is retained for the duration of the active Subscription and is securely deleted upon expiry or cancellation of the Subscription. Parents/Guardians may request earlier deletion of Uploaded Content and associated data — including AI-derived error patterns, chat logs, practice data, and student progress reports — at any time by contacting support@lumiore.ai. AI-derived data extracted from Uploaded Content — including error patterns, topic-level performance data, and mistake classifications — is retained as part of the Student's Learning Profile for the duration of the active Subscription and for one year following account closure, after which it is anonymised or deleted. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for full data retention details.
7.3 Third-Party Intellectual Property in Uploaded Content
Test papers, worksheets, and past papers uploaded to the Platform may contain content owned by third parties, including the Singapore Ministry of Education, schools, or publishers. The Parent/Guardian warrants that: they have the right to upload the relevant content for personal educational use; and the uploading and processing of such content for private study purposes does not, to the best of their knowledge, infringe any third-party intellectual property rights. LumiOre does not claim ownership of any third-party content contained in Uploaded Content and does not make such content publicly available.
7.4 Prohibited Uploads
The Parent/Guardian must not upload any content that: contains personally identifiable information about third parties without their consent; is obscene, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful; infringes any third-party intellectual property right in a manner not covered by fair use or the applicable exemption for private study; or contains malicious code, scripts, or any form of malware.
8. Artificial Intelligence — Specific Terms
8.1 AI-Powered Services
By using the Platform, the Parent/Guardian acknowledges that: AI-Generated Content is produced algorithmically and is not individually reviewed by a human educator before delivery; AI outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies; the Learning Profile is generated by AI and should be treated as a supplementary educational tool, not a professional assessment; and LumiOre does not warrant the accuracy or suitability of any AI-Generated Content for the Student's specific needs.
8.2 AI Content Disclaimer
AI-Generated Content is a supplementary educational resource and does NOT replace qualified teacher instruction; official MOE syllabuses, textbooks, or school-issued materials; or professional academic, psychological, or learning support advice.
8.3 AI Learning Chat
The AI learning chat feature is topic-restricted to educational content aligned to the MOE curriculum. Technical guardrails are in place to prevent the chat from engaging in non-educational conversations, generating inappropriate content, or facilitating the sharing of personal information. Chat logs are visible to the Parent/Guardian via the Parent Dashboard. LumiOre does not guarantee that all chat outputs will be free from error and encourages Parent/Guardians to review chat sessions periodically.
8.4 Right to Change AI Model
LumiOre reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change, replace, substitute, or discontinue the use of any AI Model powering the Platform, without prior notice. Such changes may be made for reasons including improvements in AI technology, changes in commercial availability or licensing, regulatory requirements, or safety and quality considerations. LumiOre will endeavour to communicate material changes via email where practicable.
8.5 Impact of AI Model Changes
The Parent/Guardian acknowledges that a change in the AI Model may affect the nature, style, quality, and behaviour of AI-Generated Content. LumiOre does not warrant that any replacement AI Model will produce outputs equivalent to those of any prior model. LumiOre shall not be liable for dissatisfaction arising from such changes, provided the Platform continues to deliver educationally appropriate content. Continued use of the Platform following an AI Model change constitutes acceptance of any resulting differences.
8.6 Reporting AI Errors
LumiOre encourages Parent/Guardians to report any AI-Generated Content that appears factually incorrect, inappropriate, or harmful by contacting support@lumiore.ai. LumiOre will investigate and take remedial action within 5 business days.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
9.1 LumiOre's Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in and to the Platform — including its software, code, algorithms, AI prompting systems, design, curriculum frameworks, branding, trademarks, service marks, logos, and domain names — are owned by or licensed to LumiOre. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to the User. LumiOre's trade names, trademarks, and branding may not be used without prior written consent.
9.2 AI-Generated Content
All AI-Generated Content produced on the Platform is owned by LumiOre. The Authorised User is granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use such content solely for the Student's private study. AI-Generated Content may not be reproduced, published, distributed, or submitted as the Student's original work to any school or educational institution.
9.3 User Submissions
The Parent/Guardian retains all intellectual property rights in any Uploaded Content they own. By submitting Uploaded Content to the Platform, the Parent/Guardian grants LumiOre the limited licence described in Section 7.1. Additionally, any feedback, queries, or comments submitted to LumiOre may be used by LumiOre in anonymised form to improve the Platform.
9.4 Copyright Complaints
LumiOre respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please contact support@lumiore.ai with the details of the alleged infringement. LumiOre will investigate and respond in accordance with applicable Singapore copyright law.
10. Account Security
The Parent/Guardian is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all account credentials. All activities occurring under an account are the sole responsibility of the Parent/Guardian. If you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account, you must notify LumiOre immediately at support@lumiore.ai.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
11.1 No Educational Outcome Guarantee
LumiOre does not guarantee any specific academic outcome, improvement in examination results, or increase in grades resulting from use of the Platform. Educational outcomes depend on numerous factors, including the Student's effort, ability, and engagement, which are beyond LumiOre's control.
11.2 Services Provided "As Is"
THE PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY SINGAPORE LAW, LUMIORE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE SINGAPORE LAW, LUMIORE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO ANY USER FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES PAID BY THAT USER IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE RELEVANT CLAIM. LUMIORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES.
11.4 Consumer Protection
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits LumiOre's liability under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (Cap. 52A) of Singapore or any other applicable statute that cannot be excluded by contract.
11.5 External Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources. LumiOre is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of such external sites and does not endorse any products or services available from them.
12. Prohibited Conduct
The Parent/Guardian agrees to ensure that neither they nor the Student will:
- Share account login credentials with any person outside the registered family unit
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the source code of the Platform or any AI Model
- Submit inputs designed to manipulate, deceive, or bypass the AI systems (including prompt injection, jailbreaking, or adversarial inputs)

- Circumvent any technical access controls, usage limits, or security measures
- Access or attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or Learning Profiles
- Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access the Platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's servers, networks, or services

Violation of this Section may result in immediate suspension or termination of the Subscription without refund.
13. Term and Termination
13.1 Term
These Terms commence upon acceptance and continue for the duration of the active Subscription, unless earlier terminated in accordance with this Section.
13.2 Termination by LumiOre
LumiOre may suspend or terminate access immediately and without prior notice if: the User breaches any material term of these Terms or acts in a manner inconsistent with compliance; LumiOre suspects fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of the Platform; LumiOre is required to do so by applicable law or a regulatory authority; or continued provision of the Services has become, in LumiOre's reasonable opinion, commercially unviable.
13.3 Termination by Parent/Guardian
The Parent/Guardian may terminate their agreement with LumiOre at any time by cancelling their Subscription via account settings and notifying LumiOre at support@lumiore.ai. All accrued rights, obligations, and liabilities remain unaffected by termination.

LumiOre reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to Parent/Guardians via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. If a Parent/Guardian does not agree to the amended Terms, they may terminate their Subscription prior to the effective date.

16. General Provisions
16.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Child Safety Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Platform.
16.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
16.3 Waiver. Failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
16.4 Assignment. The Parent/Guardian may not assign any rights or obligations under these Terms without LumiOre's prior written consent. LumiOre may assign its rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
16.5 Force Majeure. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or infrastructure failures.
